DZ Doodles Challenge #4

Today is DZ Doodles Challenge #4...YAY! This week we were challenged to use a theme and the theme we had to use was...Spring Break - How do you like to relax? Well my card is using the digital image called "wildflower set" I think the flowers that come up in the spring make me feel very relaxed...they are just so pretty and colorful! DZ Doodles Challenge #3

Here we are going into the 3rd challenge with DZ Doodles! This week the design team was challenged to use the distressing technique on their cards/projects! The Ladies came out with beautiful cards that you can view on the DZ Doodles Blog >>> HERE!

Here is the card that I made with this challenge! I used my distress tool from Close to my Heart to get the effect on the pink cardstock and then I used my brown ink to distress the patterned paper. Hello Hello and Happy Tuesday! I'm glad the weather is back to spring weather and hopefully this time it stays that way! We woke up to snow on Sat. but that didn't last long..which I'm glad because I'm ready for spring and the warm weather to be here already!

A Birthday Card!

I haven't made any cards this past week. I have been feeling kind of blahish but, I made this for one of one of my Auntie's Birthday at the beginning of March. I wanted to share since I really love the way it came out.

A few days ago I made a card..inspiring me to make this card was the sketch challenge I used over at Sketch Girl...This is only the 2nd sketch that I have used from there and they are lots of fun! I'm late!

I've been HORRIBLE about posting lately..just so much things going on with Family and my own health that I seem lately not to be keeping up like I used to. I've been getting really bad headaches for the last 3 weeks and I've gone to the Doctor so now just trying to figure out why so many. I did a sinus scan and blood work on Thursday/Friday so we will see what comes out of it...hopefully just a sinus infection that is not draining?

Anyways, Sassy Studio Designs sponsored a challenge over at the Sketch Girl blog and I made a card using the sketch. I'm just posting it WAY late but, I wanted to share what I did with the sketch anyways. A Little Late Anniversary Posting!

Us 14 Years ago!

Us 14 Years later!

Feb. 8th was mine and my Hubby's 14 year anniversary! Since the very first day I met this guy he's been the light of my life and has been there for me though thick and thin! There is not a day that goes by that I'm blessed with him! I love him so very much!

This is a little something I made for him for this special day. He loves to go duck hunting and his bathroom is all decorated in ducks. So thought this could be a little something to add to it...


Every year we visit the Bosque Del Apache it's a wildlife refuge about 45 mins or so from our home town. We have been visiting this place since we first met and just about every year after that for the Festival of Cranes. This last year when we went we were reading about ducks and he was telling me about the "Coots". I never heard or I don't think seen one of these ducks before but the sign was funny because it said "That's some Coot!". We thought it was so funny so we say that all the time now and laugh...guess it's something you had to be there for haha!

Sharing some Valentine Love!

I'm so sad that Valentine's Day is just about over! I really love this holiday...all the red, white and pink stuff all over the place and all the AMAZING projects that all the crafty ladies on the internet have to share. I did a few last min. crafts of my own for the family so I wanted to come on and share them with everyone that visits my blog.

(for the Converstation candy box holders up above...I got the directions for this simple and cute idea here at Clearly iStamp. I did change up the wrap measurements because I only wanted to use one box instead of two.)

If you would like use only one box just cut the outside wrap to 3x7 and score at 1 1/8.

DZ Doodles NEW Image!

I can't beleive the last time I posted was Jan. 31st! Where in the world does the time go??? The scrapbook retreat that I attended 2 weekends ago was SO much fun and I got 20 scrapbook pages done and even made some new friends! I can't wait till the next one.

DZ Doodles has bunches of NEW digital images and they are so ADORABLE...you gotta go over and check them out for yourself! Here tonight I have a card to share with you with one of the newest images called "Bunny Eggsentiment" isn't this bunny the cutest EVER! And I just love how you can use patterned paper on the egg or decorate it anyway you want! SO CUTE!
