It's a Pollycraft Challenge!

Yesterday, I worked on a card challenge from Tales from Pollycraft! The challenge was to use buttons and bows OH MY! I love buttons and bows so I was all for it! They are a digital image store and sell some of the cutest images you gotta go check them out here.

I recieved 2 awards within the last two weeks...woo hoo! so, I wanted to come on and say THANK YOU to the two ladies that passed them on to me!

Jacquie your awesome Jacquie is such a sweet friend! I'm so glad we came across each other here in blog land and have become part of a WONDERFUL team (Sassy Studio Designs) together! You create beautiful cards and are one of my inspirations. I look forward to everytime I'm visiting your blog.

The second award I recieved is from Paili.
Paili is also one of the Sassy Studio DT ladies...she is a sweet heart and was so kind to pass this awesome gift to me! She makes beautiful cards and inspires me everytime I visit her blog as well!

I met her here in blog land and she happened to live about 45 mins from me. I have attended one of her class and will be attending stamp camp in Sept.

5. Michelle from Mommy Time...I met Michelle at Split Coast Stampers about a year ago? I think I asked a question and she was kind enough to help me along...truthfully I can't remember what or how but it was there haha! We have kept in touch here ever since. She makes BEAUTIFUL cards and she just had to be one of the 7 on my list.

6. Jenn from Kiyomi Krafts has been my # one inspirations for the last year (maybe longer?)...she makes amazingly beautiful cards and colors each and every image with so much detail. she is beautiful and sweet and from Hawaii! I will visit her sometime in the future when I get enough guts to fly that far hehe!

7. Becca from Amazing Paper Grace WOW this girl can make beautiful cards...we don't know one another but I do know that I LOVE to visit her blog and just OOOOOO AHHHH over all her creations. I love the quotes she adds to them. Just so stunningl!

TOO many creative blogs..it's so hard to choose! But, I did it!
NOW on to naming 7 things about myself that people might find interesting.

1. I survived a blood clot in my brain 8 years ago...cause by birth control pills.
2. I'm 45% blind (from the blood clot)
3. Since I have been making cards of my own for the last 10 years...I have not purchased one from the store and won't ever LOL!
4. I live one day at a time and as happy as I can be. I appricate life and what it brings to me each and everyday.
5. I LOVE the beach!
6. I love to watch lifetime movies.
7. Inspirational music to my ears makes me happy!

Sassy Studio Designs & Die Cut Dreams Challenge!

This week Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the prize for challenge #8 over at Die Cut Dreams Challenge Blog. I made up a card to play along today. Happy Saturday! It's about 7 in the morning right now but I'm setting my blogger to post this at 10:50am RIGHT before the release & blog party that Sassy Studio's will be having today!

I'm so sad to say that I might not make the blog party today...I was really looking forward to being here BUT my Grandfather had surgery on his heart yesterday from 3pm-8pm. It did take a lot longer then planned but he was doing good when we left the hospital last night. We were unable to see him since he got out of surgery and he was really in pain. We are headed there to the city today to go and visit him and see how he is doing. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers..it really means a lot to me and my family.

I'm still going to TRY and make it today but if I don't I wanted to share a few more projects made with Sassy Studio's NEW images with you that I made these last week. They are the Sassy Fairy of course, because you all know that's my favorite images...well on top of all the rest. I had plans on making more cards today during the party with more of the new images..but of course that didn't fall through so I will just have to share those with you during this next week!

A Sassy Sneak Peek TAKE 3!

I've got another sneaky peek for you from the digital release that is going to be happening this Sat., Aug. 1st! For more info. on the masquerade ball please go to Sassy Studio Designs and get the 411 on it all..it's going to be a blast and I hope all of you can make it!

I used 2 of digital image called "Penelope" and "The grand ballroom background" on my card from the Sassy Studio Designs...that will be released Sat. along with LOTS of others! Sunday's Class Projects!

So this last Sunday was the class that I do every other month here at my house! We did 2 different projects and made a little punch to add to our punch books!

The first project we worked on was this little gift card holder. I got the idea from Chic n' Scratch. You can go to her website and she has a step by step video tutorial..isn't that so cool! Just click on her blog name above and it will take you right to it! In the class we used the lion & sentiment stamp from the set called Life's a Jungle..they have adorable jungle animals in this set and it is from Close to my Heart.


The next project we worked on was a coupon book. How many of you save coupons and then forget them at home and when you get to the store say OH DARN IT! haha! Well I do this all the time! So now I have this little book to keep in my purse so that I never forget them coupons again! This idea came from the talented Valerie's tangle's blog..she was so super sweet to let me teach this to the ladies in my class! Thank you so much Valerie the ladies loved it! We used paper from the scrapbook kit called Boom-di-ada...it's also from Close to my Heart!



And here is the little cutie that we added to our punch books! We do one every other month when we meet up. Isn't this little chicky so cute?

New Blog Look & Swap Cards!

So who likes my new blog layout? I just LOVE Lindsay's new little fairy image that will be released to the Sassy Studio Designs this Sat., Aug. 1st! She was so kind to color the image for me and let me use it on my blog layout! So I made the whole new layout all by myself hehe! I don't know what it is about polka dots but lately I have a thing for them..I just want to paint my whole world in them haha!

I also wanted to come on and share with you the swap cards that me and the group of friends that have class all together swapped. We do this every other month so this months theme was summer and boy has it been a HOT one! I can't wait till it's over and the winter is here again!

Sassy Studio Designs - Challenge #2

Here is my sneak peek for today...as most of you know I LOVE FAIRIES!!! So, when I seen that Lindsay had made this one up for the next release I just drooled all over my self haha!..that's for sure! Every time I see this Sassy little fairy she makes me smile and just makes my day. In the next few days I will be re-doing my blog with her. I can't wait!

Modern Sugar Blvd. - Challenge #11

Here I am once again with another great challenge! This weeks challenge from Modern Sugar Blvd. was brought to you by design team member Dee! This challenge has two parts the first is a sketch. WOWZERS! today has been a HOT one! There for a while I thought I was melting like the wicked witch haha! It's horrible...I can't wait till winter.

I worked on two cards today with some digital images that I purchased a couple months back and never got a chance till now to play with them. I regret waiting this long to use them they are simply adorable! They are from All that Scraps called Swiss Pixies you can view and purchase them here aren't they adorable?!? You can purchase them as a rubber stamp or digital image. Isn't that great?

The first card I did was inspired by sketch #23 that Card Patterns has posted here. Join in the fun you have a chance to win some goodies if you do! The second card is done with their bonus sketch #26..I just flipped it!


Trish will be here in a few..I can't wait! We are going to have a slumber party YAY! Make crafts, eat pizza, watch girly movies and of course eat some ice cream YUM! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Feelin Sassy!

I didn't make any cards today but I wanted to come on and share with you a card that I made the other day.

Last last night I started cleaning my craft room...When I say clean I mean CLEAN! haha! I tore the whole thing apart. Everything off the shelves to dust and I moved all the furniture to vacuum under everything. WOW! does it look good! I'm so happy that I did this because it made me organize things and put stuff where it belongs. Makes me want to go in there right now and create! hehe! but it's late so I won't but tomorrow Trish is coming over so we will make some fun stuff and spend a little time in there.

Anyways, back to the card that I made. I used a digital image from Sassy Studio Designs it's called Sassy Cassie...isn't she just adorable and SO Sassy? She's one of the newest images that was just released in the store not to long ago and is up for sale here.

Modern Sugar Blvd. - Challenge #10

Good Morning! I'm here to bring you this weeks challenge from Modern Sugar Blvd. It's brought to you (us) by one of the design team members...Joni! She wanted us all to use a tag anywhere on our card and of course to use any MSB digial image!

I picked the digital image called Precious Hippie Chic that you can find here in the store to purchase if you love her as much as I do! And now for the card I made.

Cards...Trish & I made yesterday!

Happy Friday! or maybe it's not so happy :(...but, I'm trying. I'm kind of down today...My Uncle that passed away in April well I miss him a lot. I called my Aunt today to ask her if she wanted to go to dinner tonight. It just breaks my heart thinking how much she missing him and I miss him so much too. I know that he's in a better place but, it's been so hard. I think of him so much and wish he could still be here with us.

As I mentioned yesterday in my last blog...Trish and I got together to make up some pretties and I wanted to share them with you all. On the two first cards we used the new color in colors from Stampin Up...aren't they beautiful colors? We also used the new ribbon to match.."drool" I just love the polka dot ribbon! I'm thinking I want to do my next blog banner in them colors...I just love them so much they are so fun and cheerful! The stamp set we used is one of the newest level 2 sets called Wings of Friendship.

The last two cards I made for my Grandmother that lost her sister a few weeks back. Those two cards are using the old in colors. We used the sets called thoughts & prayers and pocket silhouettes also from Stampin Up. Sorry for the poor pictures I took of them...My Mom was picking them up and I took the pictures really fast.

Helloooo Kitty!

Today wasn't a perfect day...last night I went to bed with a HORRIBLE sore throat. I tossed and turned all night long. It hurt so bad to swallow and drink anything...I was afraid I was getting strep so, I drank some hot tea with honey real slow and took an antibiotic since I had a refill from the last time I had an infection. Today I feel a tiny bit better but still not 100% I'm hoping that medication kicks in no matter what it is I have.

This Sat. is Amanda's sweet 16th birthday! This is Trish's adorable daughter that I simply adore. I thought I'd make her a card...she loves the little goth hello kitty so I printed out a coloring page image of hello kitty from online and added a digital skull that I had from Toxic Desirez she makes awesome digital scraps to use for online tags and digital scrapbooking!

Color Challenge by JuJu Bee's Scrapbook Corner!

YAY! it's almost the weekend again..I'm so excited I love the 4th of July and all the pretty fireworks in the air!
