Modern Sugar Blvd. - Challenge #8

This week I was chosen to pick the challenge for all the DT members at Modern Sugar Blvd. Of course, you all know how I love sketch challenges so that's what I made up for this weeks challenge. I SCRAPBOOKED 2 PAGES TODAY! YIPPIE!

Trish called me yesterday and said what are you doing tomorrow (which was today) I said I'm not sure what are you doing? she said coming over! haha! She's so cute! I said WOO HOO! What are we gonna work on she said scrap booking! I said ok I'm all for it! I have been wanting to get into scrap booking so bad since I hadn't done it in the last 2 years or so...boy time flies! I needed to fix some letters that were falling off my Cali pages (thanks heidi swapp...all your sticky letters suck! haha!) So, I added glue to all the letters and then worked on 2 pages to add to my book...I forgot to take pictures of Trish's pages but she did a WONDERFUL job for not ever scrap booking! I'm hoping she posts them on her blog so you all can see the great work she did with them.

I have a few more pictures to finish my whole Cali scrapbook from the trip we took to go visit Jen and her awesome family back in Sept. 2006 so after I'm done with this book I'll start on my Cali trip when we visited back in Oct. 2007. I can't believe it's been 2 years since we were in Cali and it seems like just yesterday..I do miss my Jen Jen and her family and the beach!

Modern Sugar Blvd. - NEW Releases!!!

Today Modern Sugar Blvd. releases a bunch of NEW digital images!!! I have 3 cards to share with you that I made for today's BIG release...be sure to stop by Modern Sugar Blvd. blog and check out all the cards that the design team has been working hard on for the last week or so...there are going to be samples up for the next few days as well so keep checking back. On my last card I changed the image up a little bit..I used the doggie from the Simply Isabella & Cupcake . That's what is so great about digital images you can take things out or put things in to change them all up and have a different look to them! Isn't it great?

Modern Sugar Blvd. - Challenge #7

I can't believe that I forgot to post on Sat. I've been super busy and I guess my poor little lonely blog just got away from me along with life! I haven't been in my craft room in over a week! I can't believe it...I just know I miss it very much and I will be back in there tomorrow getting things done.

This weeks challenge was by design team member Brandi! She has challenged us to make a card using this sketch, she also wants you to use a flower anywhere on the card and to make it a business size card (size 7 1/2 x 9 1/4 and score at 3 5/8). Modern Sugar Blvd. - Challenge #6

The design team was challenged by Crystal (a designer here at MSB.) to of course to use this beautiful new image and to make a #10 size card business card (7 1/2 x 9 1/4 and score at 3 5/8). Don't forget to visit MSB blog and check out all of the design team ladies work done with this challenge.

A Little Something for A Little Someone

I made this little box with an index card notebook and a little card for my weight watcher leader. Next week will be her last week with us so, I figured I'd make her a little something for all her inspiration and help on my weight loss journey (and boy is it a long one haha)!

Modern Sugar Blvd. - Challenge #5

Happy Saturday! I'm here to share with you Modern Sugar Blvd's challenge #4! This week we were challenged by Mary...she's one of the sugars on our design team.

She challenged us all to...
ding dong ding dong " Card Wedding". What it basically translates into is... Something old- so go through your paper scraps or ribbons Something new- this where the digi stamps come in Something borrowed- so this would be something that was given by a friend Something blue- pretty self explanatory.

Swap Cards

The group of ladies that I had a class with on Sunday decided to do a swap every two months. So when we meet up the next time we have to bring the cards we created for the swap. This time our theme was Spring. The ladies did such a wonderful job with all their cards I just love them all! In July when we meet up again we will be doing summer cards! The card that is posted up above is the card that I did...all the others have their names under their cards.

Close to my Heart class and projects!

On Sunday I had a class with Close to my Heart products. Me and the Ladies had a blast! We first made a little bird house. I got the idea and template from Capture the Moment blog. It's really simple and so adorable to make! The paper was from close to my heart and is called Unforgettable, the bird stamp set we used was from Stampin Up called cheep talk.


The next project we did was a shadow box. For this project we used the tutorial that was posted on Splitcoast Stampers website here it's an A2 card box and can be used to put cards into also. VERY easy instructions to follow! We used prima flowers, brown ribbon, the background paper is from Close to my Heart called Daydream, buttons also from Close to my Heart and the stamp of the month for may called be yourself.

These are the little goodies that the hostess got that I made...



Last but not least we are all making a little punch book so every time we get together we will add to it and have lots of cute little punch art! This time we made a mouse.
