Feel Better Soon & We love ya!

Yesterday afternoon I made a card and altered a baby jar with kisses in it to give to one of our VERY close family friend...she is really ill and in the hospital. I thought I'd make her a little something to try and cheer her up...please I ask that everyone keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much!

Pink Papery Studio Challenge & Some Blog Candy

The power of 3 was this weeks Pink Papery Challenge. We were to use 3 of anything on our card as long as it was 3 of something. I used 3 bling embellishments on my card along with one of the "NEWEST Doodle Girls digital images that will be available to purchase in the next few days in the Pink Papery store. Isn't she just too cute??? She can hold anything in her hands! The sentiment I used was from the Angel Co. set. I also used a sketch from My Sketch challenge to inspire me posted here http://mysketchworld.blogspot.com/2009/01/jan-24th-card-sketch.html

Be sure to visit all of the Pink Papery's DT girls blogs (linked on my sidebar). They also have some great cards to share for today's power of 3 challenge.

Kimmie's got a special little treat for you as well. Play along this week with us DT girls on this power of 3 challenge. You don't need to use PPS image for now, but follow our guidelines for "The Power of 3" and link it back to Kimmy''s blog here on this post http://craftingforsanity.blogspot.com/2009/01/2sketches4you-with-some-pps-style.html . One random winner will receive some Pink Papery Studios stamped and/or printed images. The winner will be announced on Kimmie's blog next Wed. so hurry and go create your card and post it in Kimmie's comments!

Also don't forget about my blog candy that I posted about yesterday :)

The Angel Co. - Blog Candy!

This last Sunday was my Angel Co. open house. I had a GREAT turnout with lots of fun ladies and great projects! I was able to also get enough ladies to join another circle this year but instead of doing the get together every month I decided to do them every other month...since the months do fly by.

So for the open house we made 1 card and a candy bar holder.

One night as I was surfing blog land I came across Christyne blog. She had posted the cutest candy bar pouches that I just HAD to teach the ladies at my open house how to do. So I emailed Christyne getting permission to do so and of course the directions...she was SO sweet to email me back with instructions and say YES that she was honored that I wanted to teach this at my open house. You have to go drop by her blog and check out her ADORABLE candy bar pouches http://stampinwithsugar.blogspot.com/2008/02/pixie-pouch-valentines.html
here are the ones that we made in the class...

We used spellbinder dies from the hearts and the stamp set that we used was from the Angel Co. called Sweet Skunks and the paper Mimi. We colored the flowers with prisma pencils and 3d'ed some of the roses to give them a little lift!

I just ordered the flamingo stamp set called Tickled Pink from the Angel Co. and I just new I had to use this at the open house...it's just too cute! The words are so girly that come with this set..I just love'em. The paper was also from the Mimi collection.

Here are two other cards I made using the same set and the same paper collection just to show you a few more images from the set.

So now on to some blog candy...I have been wanting to do this for a while now. So if you comment here and let me know you want to be entered in the drawing along with some love on my creations...I will enter you in a drawing to win...

1. All the supplies to make the 2 projects we made at my open house along with some images of both Sweet Skunks & Tickled Pink and another little surprise!

2. I will pick a name on Sunday and announce the winner on Monday, Feb. 2nd. So that gives you a whole week to give everyone a chance to leave a comment here on this post :)

3. If you would like to make a post on your blog (if you have one) letting your friends know about my blog candy feel free to do so. The more the merrier!

Good Luck!

Pink Papery Altered Item Challenge

YAY! my blog is finally coming back together after I tore it all apart and deleted ALL of my side bars and links last night! I was up till 3am...I'm so out of it right now LOL! but as long as my blogs back together then I'm A-OK haha! I figured I needed a new layout..So I made it all up and didn't realize it was gonna take all my links with it. Anyways...I'm starting to get my links back slowly but surely....If you have any links to card sketch blog challenges I'd really appreciate it if you left me the link so I can start my list back up because I can't remember which ones I had and boy do I love my sketch challenges!

This weeks Pink Papery Challenge was to alter something...I drink LOTS of crystal light tea (target brand) and I keep all the containers thinking one day I will "need" these for something. Well the day has come and I used one up for this weeks challenge. I really LOVE the way this came out...I used the digital images by Trafalgarssquare called My Friend & I set. You can purchase it at Pink Papery Studio's store so head on over to check them out....they have some adorable images/stamps.

OHHH and I also made a card to match. The card that I made I used a sketch from Poetic Artistry...I'm a little behind on sketches there..I just LOVE her sketches but you can find the one I did here it's week #66 sketch. http://poeticartistry.blogspot.com/2008/12/mojo-monday-week-66.html

Pink Papery Metallic Challenge

Well I think I'm alive...late last night my tummy was hurting me REALLY bad. My hubby had the flu Sunday so, I was thinking maybe I was starting to get it. Which of course was praying I wouldn't...I tried to keep the house clean, my hands washed and lysol sprayed. Well I was right...5am it hit me hard. I went to the Dr. around 10:30am because I was in so much pain. He said I had the stomach flu and gave me a shot in they bum so the nausea could go away. I slept ALL day long and just woke up now. I'm feeling better my body hurts really bad still. It feels like I was ran over with a truck! I'm glad the nausea is away that's what really matters.

Anyways...I'm here posting my challenge a little late in the day. I just had no energy to do it earlier. Our challenge for Pink Papery was to use metallic on our cards today. My scalloped circle, the glitter and the ribbon is metallic as well as the stars on the background. The digital stamp is by Whimsy Studios called Her first Dance you can purchase it here at the Pink Papery store http://host.pappapak16.com/~pinkpape/category_19/Whimsy-Studios.htm

After I was done with the challenge card yesterday I decided to make another. On this card I was inspired by the sketch that Jessica's daughter drew up here http://thewhimsicalbutterfly.blogspot.com/2009/01/fabulous-twinkling-tuesday-isnt-she.html . Jessica is one of the DT members for Pink Papery Studio's. Thanks Jessica for the sketch challenge.

This was also a digital image that I used for this card. It's a by Whimsy Studios and is called devil's food cake stamp.

YUMMY Cupcakes!

These are 3 of the newest images that I received from Pink Papery. They are from the Whimsy Studios collection. Aren't they just so yummy looking? I decided I needed to make 2 cards for this weeks challenge instead of just one...since I missed the last few challenges. (which I hope to catch up on soon).

The first card I made is using the images called Angel & Devil food cake stamp sets. You can find them and purchase them here http://host.pappapak16.com/~pinkpape/category_19/Whimsy-Studios.htm . We were challenged to dig through our pattered paper scraps and use at least 2 different papers.

I really wanted to use my prismas to color all of my cupcakes but the paper I guess that I printed the images on kept smudging the black..so next time I'll have to go back to printing on glossy white...that seemed to work better the last time. I colored the images this time with a little prisma but didn't get to use the gamsol on it and I also used some shimmery chalks along with lots of glitter and stickles!

Can we just put a hold on ONE day???

Things here have been crazy...on top of Christmas, getting together with family and friends for the Holiday, getting gifts wrapped and trying to visit everyone...why must it feel like nothing else can get done or finished??? There is just not enough hours in the day...but than if there was I would be even more tired than I am right now haha! I think this is my first year where I have felt overwhelmed with it all. My scrap room is a total disaster from all the last minute homemade projects and I'm hoping to get it cleaned up soon and back on track so I can start making cards and creating again! I'm so behind with Pink Papery challenges and I feel so bad but, just think of all the stuff I'll be posting VERY soon on my blog...I have lots of pictures of projects from Christmas that I have done just no time to post. I may get some up later today but there are no promises here this time. I can just promise I'll get back on track VERY SOON!

I hope you all have a blessed Christmas and hope you will have A Happy New Year!!!

Here are some digi tags I made before Christmas hit and my computer crashed. I got the digital kits from misfitsscraps and bluedreamdesigns. You can find both of their blog links on my side bar.

Christmas Wreath

WOW! today has been such a long day for me. I was very busy making Christmas cards (since I waited till the last min.) and knew I had to get them out by tomorrow. I'm hoping they reach everyone by Christmas. So I finished all of those got some boxes packed and ready to mail. I even got 2 little Christmas gifts (which will be posted soon) made for the weight watcher leaders in the meeting I attend every week.

I haven't had time to post these pictures and I have been wanting to share them SO badly! A couple weeks ago Trish was able to come and make the wreaths we'd been planning on making for Christmas. We got the WONDERFUL inspiration & idea from Janine's blog here http://stampspaperscissors.typepad.com/stamps_paper_scissors/2008/11/more-christmas.html When we seen this wreath we knew we had to make them and so we did. We collected all the supplies and got to work! Both Trish and I made 2 each. We wanted one for ourselves of course and to make one for our parents. We had a blast making them and BOY did we have glitter from head to toe and we loved it! We both were all sparkly and so was everything else in my kitchen haha!

FINALLY posted....Another one of Jeff's AMAZING CREATIONS!

Ok, so if you all keep up with my blog...then you remember a few months back when I posted about the AWESOME ribbon holder Mr. Jeff made for me. And if your just recently started reading my blog or came across it this is it...

After receiving it in the mail and falling in love with this ribbon holder over and over again...I thought ok what else do I need for my craft room? My ink holder was getting a little full so I thought OH MY to have an ink holder to match with my ribbon holder and have them up on the wall side by side WOW! So I got a hold of Jeff told him what I wanted and he made it!!! Everything I asked for it was perfect...I fell in love all over again! EEEEP! I was really blessed to have met this creative man when I went on a family vacation back in Sept. and to pick up my ink holder from THE man! I really wish I would have gotten a picture with him. Anyways...here is the ink holder he made to match my ribbon holder...

It has 100 slots for the ink pads, a shelf for my ink refills (which I don't have a lot of yet), and an extra little shelf for whatever else I want.

and the two are finally on the wall side by side. Aren't they amazing?

So if you would like Jeff to make you one of these awesome creations here is the link to his site. http://creationsbyjeff.vox.com/ he also has other sizes of ink holders on his blog so go by and check his work out!

Thanks Jeff you ROCK!

Pink Papery Dec. 3rd Challenge - Homemade Project

Hello Hello!!! Yes, I know I've been MIA for a while now and I sure have missed blogger and visiting all my friends blogs. My satellite Internet decided I didn't need to be online haha! so it slowed me down and I wasn't able to load pages at all!!!! With satellite Internet you are allowed so much use age and if you go beyond that like I did your connection slows down to pretty much nothing. I'm crossing my fingers and hope to get dsl next week since my wildblue's contract ends next month. They are not sure there are enough lines in my area and might be all used up....whatever that means so I won't know till the 10th if I can get it or not..so I'm trying to keep positive and just hope I can get it.

I logged in just in time to join in on this weeks Pink Papery challenge. We were to make something homemade so I decided to make a tiny treat box. The little box is so cute and easy to make! I got the directions from Splitcoast Stampers here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/tiny_treat_basket and used the digital images that Pink Papery carries here http://host.pappapak16.com/~pinkpape/category_11/Matter-Of-Perspective.htm these adorable images that I used are called All wrapped up Christmas set..isn't she so cute?!?

Pink Papery Studio - Diabetes Awareness Month Challenge

Today we were challenged by one of the Design Team girls, Cassie to make a card to support Diabetes. November is Diabetes Awareness Month. So the challenge was to make a card using the colors gray and red . The awareness ribbon color for diabetes is gray to represent the drudgery of dealing with diabetes every day. A red dot is often shown on the ribbon to represent the multiple times a day that a diabetic must check their blood.
If you would like to join in on the challenge you can go over and post your card in a comment at Pink Papery Studio's so everyone can see it! We would all love to see what you come up with! http://scentfullyyours.blogspot.com/
Here is my card to support Diabetes this month!

Head over to Cassie's blog to win some blog candy for Diabetes Awareness Month http://fortheartofit.blogspot.com/2008/11/its-always-with-you-terrific-treat.html . She is also making gray and red cards all week to support! They are really pretty so go check them out! And good luck on winning some blog candy.
