YUMMY Cupcakes!

These are 3 of the newest images that I received from Pink Papery. They are from the Whimsy Studios collection. Aren't they just so yummy looking? I decided I needed to make 2 cards for this weeks challenge instead of just one...since I missed the last few challenges. (which I hope to catch up on soon).

The first card I made is using the images called Angel & Devil food cake stamp sets. You can find them and purchase them here http://host.pappapak16.com/~pinkpape/category_19/Whimsy-Studios.htm . We were challenged to dig through our pattered paper scraps and use at least 2 different papers.

I really wanted to use my prismas to color all of my cupcakes but the paper I guess that I printed the images on kept smudging the black..so next time I'll have to go back to printing on glossy white...that seemed to work better the last time. I colored the images this time with a little prisma but didn't get to use the gamsol on it and I also used some shimmery chalks along with lots of glitter and stickles!

Can we just put a hold on ONE day???

Things here have been crazy...on top of Christmas, getting together with family and friends for the Holiday, getting gifts wrapped and trying to visit everyone...why must it feel like nothing else can get done or finished??? There is just not enough hours in the day...but than if there was I would be even more tired than I am right now haha! I think this is my first year where I have felt overwhelmed with it all. My scrap room is a total disaster from all the last minute homemade projects and I'm hoping to get it cleaned up soon and back on track so I can start making cards and creating again! I'm so behind with Pink Papery challenges and I feel so bad but, just think of all the stuff I'll be posting VERY soon on my blog...I have lots of pictures of projects from Christmas that I have done just no time to post. I may get some up later today but there are no promises here this time. I can just promise I'll get back on track VERY SOON!

I hope you all have a blessed Christmas and hope you will have A Happy New Year!!!

Here are some digi tags I made before Christmas hit and my computer crashed. I got the digital kits from misfitsscraps and bluedreamdesigns. You can find both of their blog links on my side bar.

Computer Crash...

Hello Blog friends...Last Wed. my computer crashed because of a bad spyware it got so I've been unable to update the last few days. I got it back from the computer repair guy last night. He was able to back up everything (THANK GOD!) so I'm up and running again and will be updating soon!

Christmas Wreath

WOW! today has been such a long day for me. I was very busy making Christmas cards (since I waited till the last min.) and knew I had to get them out by tomorrow. I'm hoping they reach everyone by Christmas. So I finished all of those got some boxes packed and ready to mail. I even got 2 little Christmas gifts (which will be posted soon) made for the weight watcher leaders in the meeting I attend every week.

I haven't had time to post these pictures and I have been wanting to share them SO badly! A couple weeks ago Trish was able to come and make the wreaths we'd been planning on making for Christmas. We got the WONDERFUL inspiration & idea from Janine's blog here http://stampspaperscissors.typepad.com/stamps_paper_scissors/2008/11/more-christmas.html When we seen this wreath we knew we had to make them and so we did. We collected all the supplies and got to work! Both Trish and I made 2 each. We wanted one for ourselves of course and to make one for our parents. We had a blast making them and BOY did we have glitter from head to toe and we loved it! We both were all sparkly and so was everything else in my kitchen haha!

FINALLY posted....Another one of Jeff's AMAZING CREATIONS!

Ok, so if you all keep up with my blog...then you remember a few months back when I posted about the AWESOME ribbon holder Mr. Jeff made for me. And if your just recently started reading my blog or came across it this is it...

After receiving it in the mail and falling in love with this ribbon holder over and over again...I thought ok what else do I need for my craft room? My ink holder was getting a little full so I thought OH MY to have an ink holder to match with my ribbon holder and have them up on the wall side by side WOW! So I got a hold of Jeff told him what I wanted and he made it!!! Everything I asked for it was perfect...I fell in love all over again! EEEEP! I was really blessed to have met this creative man when I went on a family vacation back in Sept. and to pick up my ink holder from THE man! I really wish I would have gotten a picture with him. Anyways...here is the ink holder he made to match my ribbon holder...

It has 100 slots for the ink pads, a shelf for my ink refills (which I don't have a lot of yet), and an extra little shelf for whatever else I want.

and the two are finally on the wall side by side. Aren't they amazing?

So if you would like Jeff to make you one of these awesome creations here is the link to his site. http://creationsbyjeff.vox.com/ he also has other sizes of ink holders on his blog so go by and check his work out!

Thanks Jeff you ROCK!

Pink Papery Dec. 3rd Challenge - Homemade Project

Hello Hello!!! Yes, I know I've been MIA for a while now and I sure have missed blogger and visiting all my friends blogs. My satellite Internet decided I didn't need to be online haha! so it slowed me down and I wasn't able to load pages at all!!!! With satellite Internet you are allowed so much use age and if you go beyond that like I did your connection slows down to pretty much nothing. I'm crossing my fingers and hope to get dsl next week since my wildblue's contract ends next month. They are not sure there are enough lines in my area and might be all used up....whatever that means so I won't know till the 10th if I can get it or not..so I'm trying to keep positive and just hope I can get it.

I logged in just in time to join in on this weeks Pink Papery challenge. We were to make something homemade so I decided to make a tiny treat box. The little box is so cute and easy to make! I got the directions from Splitcoast Stampers here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/tiny_treat_basket and used the digital images that Pink Papery carries here http://host.pappapak16.com/~pinkpape/category_11/Matter-Of-Perspective.htm these adorable images that I used are called All wrapped up Christmas set..isn't she so cute?!?

Pink Papery Studio - Diabetes Awareness Month Challenge

Today we were challenged by one of the Design Team girls, Cassie to make a card to support Diabetes. November is Diabetes Awareness Month. So the challenge was to make a card using the colors gray and red . The awareness ribbon color for diabetes is gray to represent the drudgery of dealing with diabetes every day. A red dot is often shown on the ribbon to represent the multiple times a day that a diabetic must check their blood.
If you would like to join in on the challenge you can go over and post your card in a comment at Pink Papery Studio's so everyone can see it! We would all love to see what you come up with! http://scentfullyyours.blogspot.com/
Here is my card to support Diabetes this month!

Head over to Cassie's blog to win some blog candy for Diabetes Awareness Month http://fortheartofit.blogspot.com/2008/11/its-always-with-you-terrific-treat.html . YAY! So today I finally got my butt in gear and got a card done...actually two but you will have to wait until tomorrow to see the other hehe! It feels so good to be stamping again.
This is my first ever Pink Papery Studio card. Amy the owner sent me some digital images to play with and I just loved using digital for my cards! I printed them out and came up with this...TADA!!! This stamp set is by Cocoa Studio and is called Grow Stamp set. Isn't the owl so adorable?
In her store she offers both digital and reg. stamps to purchase. I really love all the different ways to use the digital its just as good as having the actual stamp in your hands! If you haven't tried it well do so sometime you too will love it!

Mojo Monday Challenges

YAY! I'm alive and well. Last week was a rough one. I was really sick with a cold but feeling A LOT better now.

I was up late last night visiting blogs. I was behind on Mojo Monday Sketch challenges so I did two of them today! I just love Julee's sketches they are so much fun. The first card was for Mojo Monday week #57 http://poeticartistry.blogspot.com/2008/10/mojo-monday-week-57.html . Julee also inspired me by the card that she did here http://poeticartistry.blogspot.com/2008/10/long-time-no-stamp.html the colors and her card is just SO beautiful. I'm loving the colors together which were Pixie Pink, Kiwi Kiss and Tangerine Tango. The stamp set is a VERY old one from Stampin Up that I borrowed from my Stampin Up demo Kathy...she was so sweet and lent it to me. I thought it was perfect for breast cancer month...which I finally got a chance to do a card before the month is over.

Here is my second card that I did was for Mojo Monday week #58 http://poeticartistry.blogspot.com/2008/10/mojo-monday-week-58.html . The stamp set is an older one from Pink Cat Studio that you can still purchase here http://www.pinkcatstudio.com/Stamps/Christmas/CHP3.htm

I'm sick but still kicking!

So I have a REALLY bad cold but, I still managed to get some crafting done yesterday. I sat in front of the TV all day and finished making all my little spiders and also made some cute little Frankie's to give to my parents, brother, niece and nephew for Halloween. I got inspired to make these when I was blog surfing and found them on Cambria's blog here http://cambriaturnbow.blogspot.com/2008/09/mr-mrs-frankie-treat-boxes.html and as easy as she said they are to make...I totally agree with her...they are not only SUPER easy but fun too! Thank you Cambria for the directions and inspiration!

On a side note I haven't put the candies in them or tied the ribbon at the top.

Stress-Free Thrusday!

WOW it's been since the 7th that I have posted on blogger! I didn't think it had been that long. Things have been kind of crazy around here but, it's calming down (i hope). Me and Trish got together yesterday here at my house and sometime last week at her house so that means I've got LOTS to show you!

I'll first start off with the cards that we made last week. I recently purchased 2 of the newest stamps from Clear Dollar Stamp so we played with those first! I just LOVE these 2 new stamp sets! Trish will be posting the cards she made on her blog soon so be sure to visit!

Here are the projects we worked on yesterday. The little spider idea I got from http://stampspaperscissors.typepad.com/stamps_paper_scissors/2008/10/am-i-norwegian.html who then got it from http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1067897?si=patties aren't these the cutest little spiders? And really simple to make. I bought a little Halloween tree that I want to put spiders on sometime before Halloween. For now I'm going to use them at my Pampered chef party this weekend for my guests to take.

These little tins I found at Targets dollar spot and new I had to alter some. The one with the ghost is mind and the other Trish altered.
These were some wooden plaques I purchases at the Dollar Tree a while back and thought we could decorate them for Halloween . The first one is mine and the 2nd is Trish's..I just LOVE the purple on hers it really makes it pop!

My Cali girl Jen Jen gave me these BIG ol' clothes pins a couple years ago and I never did anything with them so when Trish was here yesterday I decided to pull them out so we could alter them. Tink matches my room so you guessed it the tink is mine (Jen had just also sent me these tink embelisments a couple weeks ago so I had to use them.) Trish altered the other clothes pin.

Have a WONDERFUL weekend and thanks for visiting my blog!

Birthday Goodies

My cousin Kelly's birthday was last week and so I made her a few things. She loves frogs so first I made this card. The froggy stamp that I used was from the set Fun Times from Close to my Heart.

I also made her this little altered altoid tin.

And for a while now she has been wanting a picture board. So I decided to make her one and she really loved it!

Win some Stamps from Pink Cat Studio!

Melissa (Pink Cat Studio) won't be releasing any stamps this month but, she put together a little contest together because she LOVES to give away stamps!
Put your thinking cap on and leave a comment here at this link http://pinkcatstudio.blogspot.com/2008/10/win-free-stamps.html and tell Melissa what theme of stamps you would like to see her do next. Be as detailed or a general as you like and feel free to make several suggestions. Think of this as a brain storming session with a prize at the end. She will randomly pick two winners and they will each receive a grab bag of stamps. The contest will end on Wed. Oct. 8th at 5 pm EST and She will post the winners on her blog on Thursday Oct. 9th.
GOOD LUCK!!!

The Angel Company Appreciation Party

This last Sunday I had an appreciation party for my circle of angels to thank them for joining the club. Last month was the last month for the club. I had food, games, prizes & gifts for all of them and we had LOTS of fun!!!
These are the little goodies that I made for them. The first picture...I made sunflower pens, second picture are mini comp journals and the third picture are sunflower pins. As you can tell I tried my best to go with a sunflower theme since it is fall and all the pretty sunflowers are out EVERYWHERE!

Here are the make n' takes that they all got to do. The first picture is the coaster boxes they made and the two others are cards.

Oh and I almost forgot to share with you all the cards the circle girls made. At the end of the party I had a contest for them to make a card with all the supplies that were on the table (from all the other projects). They freaked thinking ok...I come here to learn how to make cards now I'm on the spot to make one all by myself and no help??? HAHA! I wanted to show them that they can really do it on their own and they did!!! Check them out...they all did a WONDERFUL job don't ya think?
