Sharing some Valentine Love!

(I got the tutorial for this cutie up above over at Carolina's Creative Pad)

I'm so sad that Valentine's Day is just about over! I really love this holiday...all the red, white and pink stuff all over the place and all the AMAZING projects that all the crafty ladies on the internet have to share. I did a few last min. crafts of my own for the family so I wanted to come on and share them with everyone that visits my blog.

(for the Converstation candy box holders up above...I got the directions for this simple and cute idea here at Clearly iStamp. I did change up the wrap measurements because I only wanted to use one box instead of two.)

If you would like use only one box just cut the outside wrap to 3x7 and score at 1 1/8.

Sunday's Class Projects!

So this last Sunday was the class that I do every other month here at my house! We did 2 different projects and made a little punch to add to our punch books!

The first project we worked on was this little gift card holder. I got the idea from Chic n' Scratch. You can go to her website and she has a step by step video tutorial..isn't that so cool! Just click on her blog name above and it will take you right to it! In the class we used the lion & sentiment stamp from the set called Life's a Jungle..they have adorable jungle animals in this set and it is from Close to my Heart.

The next project we worked on was a coupon book. How many of you save coupons and then forget them at home and when you get to the store say OH DARN IT! haha! Well I do this all the time! So now I have this little book to keep in my purse so that I never forget them coupons again! This idea came from the talented Valerie's tangle's blog..she was so super sweet to let me teach this to the ladies in my class! Thank you so much Valerie the ladies loved it! We used paper from the scrapbook kit called Boom-di-ada...it's also from Close to my Heart!

And here is the little cutie that we added to our punch books! We do one every other month when we meet up. Isn't this little chicky so cute?

Come back and visit tomorrow I will have some sneak peeks from Sassy Studio's NEW release. And please stop over at the Sassy Studio Designs blog there is going to be a big party going on Sat. Aug 1st with lots of prizes and fun this so for more info click on over.

Close to my Heart class and projects!

On Sunday I had a class with Close to my Heart products. Me and the Ladies had a blast! We first made a little bird house. I got the idea and template from Capture the Moment blog. It's really simple and so adorable to make! The paper was from close to my heart and is called Unforgettable, the bird stamp set we used was from Stampin Up called cheep talk.

The next project we did was a shadow box. For this project we used the tutorial that was posted on Splitcoast Stampers website here it's an A2 card box and can be used to put cards into also. VERY easy instructions to follow! We used prima flowers, brown ribbon, the background paper is from Close to my Heart called Daydream, buttons also from Close to my Heart and the stamp of the month for may called be yourself.

These are the little goodies that the hostess got that I made...

Last but not least we are all making a little punch book so every time we get together we will add to it and have lots of cute little punch art! This time we made a mouse.

Pink Papery Dec. 3rd Challenge - Homemade Project

Hello Hello!!! Yes, I know I've been MIA for a while now and I sure have missed blogger and visiting all my friends blogs. My satellite Internet decided I didn't need to be online haha! so it slowed me down and I wasn't able to load pages at all!!!! With satellite Internet you are allowed so much use age and if you go beyond that like I did your connection slows down to pretty much nothing. I'm crossing my fingers and hope to get dsl next week since my wildblue's contract ends next month. They are not sure there are enough lines in my area and might be all used up....whatever that means so I won't know till the 10th if I can get it or not..so I'm trying to keep positive and just hope I can get it.

I logged in just in time to join in on this weeks Pink Papery challenge. We were to make something homemade so I decided to make a tiny treat box. The little box is so cute and easy to make! I got the directions from Splitcoast Stampers here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/tiny_treat_basket and used the digital images that Pink Papery carries here http://host.pappapak16.com/~pinkpape/category_11/Matter-Of-Perspective.htm these adorable images that I used are called All wrapped up Christmas set..isn't she so cute?!?

I'm sick but still kicking!

So I have a REALLY bad cold but, I still managed to get some crafting done yesterday. I sat in front of the TV all day and finished making all my little spiders and also made some cute little Frankie's to give to my parents, brother, niece and nephew for Halloween. I got inspired to make these when I was blog surfing and found them on Cambria's blog here http://cambriaturnbow.blogspot.com/2008/09/mr-mrs-frankie-treat-boxes.html and as easy as she said they are to make...I totally agree with her...they are not only SUPER easy but fun too! Thank you Cambria for the directions and inspiration!

On a side note I haven't put the candies in them or tied the ribbon at the top.

WOWZERS! Two posts in ONE day!

I get sooo much inspiration from my blogging friends. This morning I spent sometime catching up on friends blogs and they have inspired me to RUN to my craft room and create! I didn't do ALL that I wanted to get done but, I did a couple of sketch challenges and a baby card for one of Anthony's cousin that just had a baby girl.

The first sketch challenge is from Stamping links to love's blog. I have been wanting to do their challenges and time always seems to get away so, finally I got sometime to join in the fun! You can find the sketch challenge here http://stampinglinkstolove.blogspot.com/2008/09/sctl5-sketch_04.html . I did forget the little circle on the bottom right hand but, I do love this card otherwise! I purchased the fairy stamp from JoAnn's this last weekend.

The second sketch challenge that I did is from Jen's (Pieces of Me) blog. She has weekly challenges and gives away some great prizes so join in! You can find the sketch that I did here http://expressivelyme.blogspot.com/2008/09/little-cs-weekly-challenge-8.html

I have been wanting to make one of them ADORABLE little onsie cards FOREVER! I finally got the chance to make one! You can find the tutorial for this cute card on Lauren's blog here http://laurenm.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2008/02/05/create-your-own-onesie-card-tutorial-and-important-note-please-read/ . Thanks Lauren for this awesome tutorial!!!

HAPPY Friday!

I'm just loving all the Halloween ideas and cards all over blog land and Split coast Stampers website. Today I was looking in the template section at SCS and found a really cute template for a coffin so I had to print it out and get started! It came out so cute and it's super easy to make. I used the cute little Dracula I bought at Mike's a few weeks ago from the dollar spot...he came in very handy for this project! Here is the link to that template if you would like to make one. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=363180

I've had my little house mouse ghost stamp FOREVER..I don't think I have EVER inked him up and used him...poor little thing. He finally came out of the dust to play today and here is the card I made using him.

Hope you have a HAPPY & WONDERFUL weekend! HUGS!

Sunday's Angel Circle & Projects

WOWZERS this week is FLYING by! I can't believe that tomorrow is already Thursday... actually it will be Thursday in 1 hr and 10 mins YIKES! Weekend here I come again haha! It was really nice to have a nice long weekend.

Sunday was the monthly Angel Company circle here at my house. We had a lot more ladies than usual which was VERY cool and lots of fun.

I had a lady from Grants, New Mexico (about 1 hr and 1/2 away from me) signed up to be an Angel which was very cool! She came to the circle on Sunday so that I can show her a few different things to start her business or should I say her addiction haha! Welcome Pat on becoming an Angel!!! She is such a super sweet lady it was VERY nice meeting her. I made her a little something to welcome her.

I made her a 3x3 box with 4 - 3x3 cards with my favorite set from The Angel Co. called "Just Dream". The paper is also from The Angel Co. and it is called "Hemingway". I really enjoyed using these papers they are beautiful. I took pics before giving it to her to share here. Since I was at it I made 2 diff. boxes with the same of the 4 cards in each box.

(above: this was the box I gave Pat)

(below: the 4 cards that went inside the boxes)

For the hostess gift..she got a free stamp set and on the set I made a tag made also with "Just Dream". As you can tell I just LOVE using this set there is so many ways to use it. (sorry about the blurry picture).

Here are the projects that we did for the workshop. The first is a little bag made with an envelope. I got this WONDERFUL idea from Judy. If you would like to make one here is the tutorial on her blog to learn how to make one of your own http://chicnscratch.typepad.com/chic_n_scratch/2008/02/march-stamp-c-1.html she has LOTS of great tutorials be sure to check all of her blog out. She's VERY talented.

The stamp set that we used to make our envelope cards was called "Treasure It".

The second project we did was made with coasters. It's a little sign to hang up. The stamp set that we used on this was called "butterfly swirls". The words on this project was from the "treasure it" stamp set. I just love this set just haven't used it a lot..which I need to start.

Another TAC Sketch & Fun with Trish

This was another sketch challenge and my card that I did for the TAC message board.

Then I've been promising to post the project and cards that me and Trish made at her house last Sat. when I went over to stamp with her.

First we made these cute little designer bags. She found the tutorial for them here http://cambriaturnbow.blogspot.com/2008/07/designer-bags.html . Aren't they the CUTEST things ever??? They are soooo simple to make!

I also made one last week for this VERY sweet girl that works at the Vet's office where we take our dogs. She is always so sweet to us and my doggies so I filled it up with kisses and lip gloss.

We also made these cute little cards with last month stamp of the month from The Angel Company.

And last but not least a picture I took with my bestest friend Trish and her baby. We always want to take a picture together and seem to always forget. I'll try my best to get one the next time I see her.

Stress Free Thursday & Stamping w/Trish!

YAY! another fun stress free Thursday stamping w/Trish. It was funny today because me and Trish were trying to think of a title we can use for our posts on Thursday since we get together just about every Thursday to stamp and then I post what we made together. I just LOVE that she spends her days off to come and stamp with me and we make the cutest little projects.

Today we made the cutest little 3x3 boxes and some cards to match...of course we got the idea and the tutorial from the AMAZING, MOST INSPIRING chic I know...Jennifer! Here is the link to the box she made along with the tutorial on how to make this adorable box w/cards http://www.kiyomikrafts.com/kiyomi/2008/07/get-inked.html?cid=123826108#comment-123826108

Here are the cards I made to put inside the box..I know a few more cards will fit in the box so I may make some more later.

Here is Trish's box with the cards she made...she didn't get to finish them because she couldn't stay as long as she usually does because she had dinner plans. I got to take a picture of her finished little box and half done cards. She said she wanted to add rub ons and some other things to the cards. I just love her little box she used the new scallop punch and made scallops on the sides of her lid which I didn't get a pic of but it was REALLY cute!

Updated 8/11/09 - with Trish's finished cards.
