Stamped all day...

MaryJane got to my house at around 9:00 this morning and we did some stamping. It was lots of fun! I got 2 8x8 layouts done for Pink Cat Studio, one card done for PCS and 3 other cards with mine and MaryJane's new stamp sets from Stampin Up! I just totally LOVE my new skunk set! I can't wait to stamp a pink skunk hehe! I didn't scan one of the cards I made because I sent it with MaryJane to give to MaryAnn, a lady I used to work with that made me the CUTEST scarf...so it was a thank you card to her. Here are the others I made.

IM DONE w/ Valentine's Day cards!!!

This is the last of the altered candy bars and 3x3 cards I made for the sale. I made 6 each of the 3x3 cards. I worked ALL day long. So the sale is tomorrow so we shell see how it goes. I am just glad I am all done with Valentine stuff and now I can move back to scrapping my Cali trip and have some fun with some Pink Cat Studio stamps.

Valentine Day Craze

Since Sunday I have been scrapping & stamping my little heart out! I have made 25 Valentine cards, 15 Birthday cards for a swap that I joined on Sunday with Valerie's (not me a friend) Stampin Up Demonstrator and altered 8 candy bar wrappers. The reason why I've been working so hard on the Valentine Day stuff is because my cousin's wife sells flowers, balloons etc. during the Valentine holiday and she asked if I would like to sell some of my cards and stuff. So I thought I'd give it a try and since I only have a few days to get ready for this I have been real busy. I figured It would be a great way to get some extra cash for the Vegas trip in April which is 2 months, 2 day and 6 days (thanks Becky for your ticker hehe) away from today. I am so excited for that day to come its going to be so much fun!

Here are the cards that I have made for the sale and swap. I made 6 of each card for Valentines. I still have 7 more candy wrappers to do and I really want to get some 3x3 cards done as well...but we will see how things go tomorrow. I have to get ready to go to El Paso with my cousins and go SHOPPING WOO HOO! we are staying there for the night then coming back Sat. So we will see how much I get done tomorrow.

Why I Scrapbook...(blog challenge)

The reasons why I scrapbook is mainly for myself. I always think um who will look at my work after I pass on??? I don't have kids. I do have a younger brother so I guess it would mainly be for him if he would even want them haha! For the ones that know me they know that I do not work and can't work because of my disability. I am really glad I have grown to love scrapbooking. It makes me feel so good when I can be an inspiration for others. I love the feeling after finishing a page and saying WOW! Scrapbooking makes your pictures look so awesome and so much fun to look at over and over again. Its so much fun to learn all the new things that come with this hobby. It never seems to get boring because there are always so many new things coming out each and everyday. I wouldn't know what I would be doing with my life today if I didn't have this fun hobby to keep me busy with.

Valentine Cards

I finally felt just ok to stamp today. I was having MAJOR withdrawals. For the past 2 days I have been on bed rest because of the pains in my lower spine. I have been having these pains off and on for about 9 months or so. In June or July I had an MRI because I was having so much pain and really bad pressure headaches. I thought maybe it was the shunt they put inside of me about 6 years ago due to the blood clot in my brain. The shunt is hooked on the lower end of my spine into my tummy. SO anyways...the pains have been really bad the past 2 days and I have been leaving messages for the neurologist and finally he called me back yesterday and said that the MRI was not normal and something was wrong. (I really wish they would have taken care of this then but now is the time). His nurse called me today with a resurgent apt. THANK GOD I have an apt tomorrow at 9am. I can't wait to get there to finally get results on what this pain could be. When the neurologist called he said it could be a pinched nerve or something going on with a root that is causing the pain.

Anyways...I got these cards done today and altered a candy wrapper!

Ribbon Challenge, Sketch & V-Day Box....

Today was a really good day...I got 2 layouts and a cute little Valentine Box done. The first layout I did was for a Ribbon Challenge. I just love all the colors in this layout its so fun. I am gonna use the page in my scrapbook of the Cali trip.The next layout I worked on was a sketch from Becky...she made a few sketches and posted them on her blog http://beckholiorocksit.blogspot.com/ . So, I wanted to try them out. I picked one and I loved how it came out...I did it to match another page to make a 2 page lo! (sorry about the glare).

THEN FINALLY...I was sitting here with nothing to do and surfing around the web and checking my email. This last week I got an email from Splitcoast.com. I just love all the wonderful ideas those girls have. And I seen something on the email that just inspired me and I had to do it RIGHT NOW! So I got all the supplies out and got to working. Monkey Love!

I worked on these cards today for a Valentine Swap that I joined. My friend Becky gave me these cute Monkey stamps and finally got a chance to put one of them to use..the rest of the set is adorable and will be making more cards with them soon.

Scrapped till we almost dropped!

Last night/early this morning was so much fun! I met this girl Valerie from LifeJournal and we had been chit chatting on Yahoo for a couple weeks and we planned to get together and scrap. Monique got here around 6ish and Valerie showed up at around 7pm and we all started altering comp books. Then after we were done with that we all started our own projects. Monique left around 10pm. Valerie and I kept scrapping. I worked on my Cali trip and Valerie worked on a tag book for her Mom. I got 10 pages done and she got 25? tags done. We had a blast and finished scrapping at 4:30am haha! We were thinking to do this once a month at least but are already planning to do it in 2 weeks haha! I hope so it was LOTS of fun!

New Cat Stamps from Pink Cat Studio

I recieved two new cat stamps from Melissa about a month before Christmas. Finally, Christmas is over and I had time to play again. I made these cards and layouts for her site today.
